Industrial Supplies Imports Analysis by Region
We can see that the largest import market for these products is East Asia & Pacific (approximately US$ 125 billion in 2016). However average annual import growth between 2012 and 2016 was actually negative in this region. This means entering the market and gaining share would be quite difficult. However, North America and Latin America & Caribbean both showed positive growth during this time period with significant import volume. Targeting these regions could be easier.

Within Europe & East Asia, the countries with the highest volume of imports in 2016 are Germany, France, United Kingdom, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Spain and Czech Republic. Most of these countries have negative growth with the exception of the United Kingdom, Poland, Spain and Czech Republic. In addition, Hungary, Romania, Ireland, Slovenia, Lithuania, Croatia, Serbia and Bulgaria have high growth in imports although limited volume.

Within Latin America & Caribbean, the countries with the highest volume of imports in 2016 are Mexico and Brazil. Import growth in Mexico has also been strong.
